If you know me at all, you’ll know that some of the things I am super passionate about are entrepreneurship, learning and sharing (the exact reasons why I started Midlands Women In Business) so it was pretty much a given that I would jump on board the opportunity to attend the Heart to Hustle workshop in Durban earlier this month.
Hosted by Bonita Cherry (of brand development consultancy Outlook Orange) and Ingrid Budge (owner and founder of Metamorphosis Brand Transformation), the workshop spans an entire day (lunch, tea/coffee and snacks are included) and is aimed at female entrepreneurs in the early stages of their business journeys. We covered the basics of starting a business, from assessing the initial idea to naming it; on to identifying the key processes involved in running a successful business; as well as marketing related ideas, social media and more!
When I first looked at the breakdown, I thought that I knew about quite a lot of the topics already (because of my background and experience in branding/marketing, and with helping my own start-up clients navigate entrepreneurial waters) BUT I also know that there is ALWAYS something new to learn!
I ended up taking away a few brilliant golden nuggets that I will definitely be applying to a new business idea that is currently in the works (will be sharing more on that soon, it’s an exciting one!) as well as useful info that I can apply to my existing processes within my design business.
I also felt reinspired and energised to make shit happen – isn’t that just the best feeling?!
Not only did I learn and find motivation, but I met a lovely group of ladies and it was so great to be surrounded by like minded people all on similar journeys – thank to all involved ♥
We have got so much in store for you! Book our next training course 🙌🏻🌷see link in bio
