Think colour, think vibrance – picture surrounding scenery like no other and imagine a creative collaboration of epic proportions (we even had a donkey!) THIS is what I had the privilege of being part of last year when I created the stationery for a Mexican Wedding themed styled shoot at the stunning Crystal Barn wedding venue in the KZN Midlands.
My brief for the stationery was to create something classy and colourful, yet still moody in a sense – nothing overly ‘Mexican’ (ixnay on the skulls and sombreros then!) but still in keeping with theme… I love how it all came together – little details like the lined envelope and the hand-made tassel on the Order of Service were my favourite bits and hand making it all (albeit time consuming) was incredibly therapeutic and fun. (I event went as far as researching typical Spanish names for the table seating and finding Spanish hymns to include in the programme!)
On top of the stationery, I mocked up a custom tequila bottle label just for fun, (complete with tassel again!) and named the special concoction “Crystal Heart” as an ode to the venue!
I’m not going to bother with too many more words here – these images DO speak a thousand words (and be sure to watch the incredible video at the end of this post too!)
A big shout out to all involved for helping to create the magic behind this Mexican love story, so much amazing talent in SA:
