GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED, WINNERS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED ON THE B&D FACEBOOK PAGE
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that a fair amount of gin is regularly consumed at casa Barras after a particularly long working week (and sometimes even during!) to help me unwind. Not only am I a fan of the flavours, but being a designer, I am obsessed with checking out the label design of such spirits, as well as how they are branded and packaged etc – there’s definitely an art to doing it successfully and it’s no wonder really that this stunning new Six Dogs Blue design caught my eye on Facebook recently!
After sharing a photo of it on my own FB page, Glenn Bryant from Six Dogs Distillery got in touch to ask if I’d be interested in collab’ing on a giveaway for all you lucky readers/followers, and of course I was thrilled to accept this kind offer.
So what’s up for grabs? The Six Dogs team have very generously sponsored not one, but THREE PRIZES for this giveaway – so amazing, thank you Six Dogs!
The main prize winner will walk away with a bottle of the stunning Six Dogs Blue. Newly launched and aptly named for it’s beautiful blue colour, derived from the flower of the Blue Pea plant, this gin is magical in it’s own right as the colour changes to a pink shade when tonic is added! It’s made in incredibly small batches (66 bottles at a time!) which makes it even more special! “Blue is the most royal of Gins. It embodies the freshness of a classic dry but offers two infusions previously unknown in the world of Gin: the Blue Pea which provides an earthy ‘cut-grass’ layer; and Rose Pelargonium, which gives the Gin its refreshing lightness.” Read more about this fascinating drink HERE
Two runners up will each receive a bottle of Six Dogs Karoo Gin – hardly a ‘consolation’ prize when it includes twelve select botanicals that are homegrown on the family farm, intersecting three different bioregions including the Succulent Karoo. “Sip it and you will pick up the paired notes of Juniper and Wild Lavender that introduce the Karoo. What follows is a fresh medley of citrus including Limes, Clemengold and farm grown Lemon Buchu. Cassia, Chamomile and Angelica bind the heart of the Gin while the delicate flower of the Acacia Thorn adds a top note of soft sweetness.” Sounds positively delightful!
